Fraser Berkhout, OR ’03, stopped by our training camp at Shawnigan Lake to share some words of wisdom and inspiration for our young Ridley Rowers. His message was excellent! To paraphrase, he told them that it didn’t matter how much natural talent you have, if you don’t have the desire and work ethic to show up everyday and train your hardest, all of that talent amounts to nothing. Fraser hopes to be rowing for Canada this summer at the London 2012 Olympics. It’s been a long and arduous road and, hopefully, Fraser will discover the fruits of his labour this summer—we wish him every success!
